We have made great strides in getting a fully formed committee. We've had three meetings so far and now have a committee, which is committed to keeping the campaign FOR the people of North County Fingal area and BY the people of North County Fingal area.
We are sending a delegation to meet with the councillors of Fingal County Council in the council offices, to formally introduce ourselves, outline our ethos and expectations. We are hoping to have this meeting in May.
Several local councillors had raised the question in the council offices regarding the lack of a public swimming pool in the Fingal area and Fingal County Council have organised a feasibility study which is currently out to tender. We want to link in with the feasibility study to ensure that the views and needs of the people of North County Fingal area are represented rather than just financial considerations.
We're also setting up the backbone of the campaign like fundraising, website, research and any legal necessities.
We aim to keep everyone informed of the campaign on a monthly basis or sooner if there is something important to announce.
