Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Fingal County Council identified a surplus of €8.2 million and a local councillor proposed a motion to transfer that surplus into a swimming pool for Fingal.
Did this motion pass? Vote was 16 versus 19.
Remember as well that North Fingal Pool Campaign met Fingal County Council (FCC) just last month and we were confirmed that no funding was been sought at that time. FCC still wants to build the pool in Castlelands, Balbriggan but has no money allocated to it yet (https://www.facebook.com/groups/575291019479932/permalink/1688339788175044/)
